For this week's Iron Craft we were challenged to make something we had seen online, in a catalog or magazine that we felt we could make instead of buying. I did not really have an idea for what I wanted to do but Kathy had shown me a bag from Fossil that she was going to try and remake.
As we were looking for ways to do it on one of our many trips to the store I got caught up in the idea and decided I would give it a try myself. It was great working with someone on this bag and trying to figure out how to do it. Here is my version.
I struggled with this bag a little bit and not sure why. It felt like the sewing gods were against me this week. However, I do like what the final project looks like. I made my bag a little bigger than Kathy did. I was thinking tote.
I love the fabric I chose for the interior and I think that is my favorite part.
Thanks Kathy for letting me tag along on this project. And for helping to sew on the majority of my buttons- I am just so stinkin' slow!!!
Check back to Just Crafty Enough on Wednesday for a tutorial on how we put the bags together.
